This is a "knock-down" twin unit wheeled 6x10m mobile home chassis kit. This kit comprises of two 3m x 10m twin wheeled chassis which are positioned alongside each other to form a 6m x 10m double platform. It is then possible to build 2 attached timber buildings onto this platform for form a demountable twin mobile home. Delivery is in kit form with everything you need to construct them into a complete twin unit mobile home chassis. The wheels are for moving the building on private land only, and make it easy to position them exactly where needed..

There are distinct advantages over a fully prefabricated chassis -

• Cheaper delivery / tarns port costs
• Does not require a large open access road as with a pre-fabricated chassis
• Good access to the actual mobile home site is not necessary. You can carry the parts through to the site and assemble in situ
• If the site is in a field or across grass, you won't need any heavy duty machinery
• Any level hard standing is suitable, even in winter with lying water / mud all around

These steel chassis are flexible in design and therefore suitable to support almost any building. You can build any timber framed building, steel framed building or a log cabin construction onto this chassis. The chassis is flexible in design and can be even stronger if you require.

 

There are various structural element possibilities but all come with -

• Fully bracketed joints with drilled holes and all bolts required to complete the assembly
• Tow points
• Diagonal bracing to keep the chassis and therefore the building on top square
• Galvanised finish (other options available)
• Twin axles on each chassis
• Jack legs on each corner of each chassis to ensure stability and maintain platform on the level when "sited".

The Caravan Act

These mobile home chassis kits fully comply with "The Caravan Act". Any of our timber buildings will then be within the law. There are certain limitations within The Caravan Act that you need to comply with. But the 6x10m mobile home chassis kit is well within any legal limits in this law.

Various mobile home chassis kit options for various site conditions

These kit form chassis trailers are ideal if you have a suitable base and level site. But if you don't have a level site, then we have another option for you - our "all terrain" chassis kit! This is where access is very poor and the site is not very level (ie, where it would not be possible to level a traditional wheeled chassis).
